I began my journey from a small island in the heart of the Indian Ocean known as Sri Lanka.I was raised in a family of five, being the youngest and at leisure the most I must add.
After graduating from high school, I chose to study architecture which came to me as my second nature. It was the closest representation of a career that could cater my passion of life.
I also sparked my interest in interior designing during the few years I spent in UK and it developed into a passion after relocating into Canada.
It was the most gratifying feeling when I could design a house to become a home for someone else.
I have built up a family of my own to spread the joy that I once enjoyed as a little girl in my home country.
Now I have created a home to my three children and husband in Canada where it is a place where everyone is comfortable and cozy and is a place where you can be free spirited.
Through my designs, I have brought the bits and pieces of tradition from our roots, into our contemporary life.
From the past to the present and from the vast separation to the homeliness.
After 8 years of Architectural education and working as an intern and a registered architect for almost 10 years in Sri Lanka, I already brought enough skills and expereince to Canada in 2014 to succeed in the industry, still I wanted to go back to college and specialize in cabinetry designs to give more to my clients.
After graduaing with honours from Kitchen and Bath Program in Algonquin College, Ottawa and working 8 years in many leading builders in Canada as a Designer I am finally ready to open up my own firm to contribute better to this world.
I always believed that as an Architect or a Designer I have a responsibility to use my skills for good to improve lives, create opportunities, and bring people together.
